How important is correct temperature for you?

How important is correct brewing temperature for you? Do you use things like a thermometer or a water boiler with temperature setting. Or does not the temperature matter for you? Or something in between?

I don't use a thermometer but I remove the kettle just before the water start to boil.

I know the temperature matters, but I don't have much knowledge of the subject. I'm happily unaware of how it would taste if I used the correct temperature since I don't own a thermometer. Hopefully it doesn't make a big difference for the Tisane I'm drinking.
