How long does tea stay fresh?
When you store Tea in a storage tin, how long does it last before it loses flavour?

That depends on what kind of Tea it is, and a little bit more about the storage (double lids? Is it stored to hot? Near other smells?)
This is only approximately how long you can store it, depending on many things it can differ months.
This is after you have bought it not after harvest
Black Tea and oolong: About a year
Green and yelllow tea: About 6 months
White tea: A bit over a month
Ripe pu-erh: at least 15 years
Raw pu-erh: At least 40 years
After that it starts to taste a little bit less good but you can still drink it, it's just not optimal taste

Thank you! You mentioned double lids. Are there containers with double lids or do you put one in another? How much does double lids affect storage?
Best regards, Niklas 🎈
There are containers wityh double lids (see pic, the one in cherry bark had double lid, or all have that but you can only see it in the cherry bark container)

#4 Some are and some are not. Some have windows for example, and thats not good unless you have them in a cabinet or something. Some of them are more for the looks than practical

I didn't even think that Tea could lose it's flavour, luckily for me I drink it far too often so I always have to buy more in fresh.
All the best, Leia
