Brewing tea

Have you brewed tea with an Aeropress?

I have read that you can brew tea with an Aeropress (usually used for coffee). Have you tried it? Was it different? Did it taste good?

Best regards, Niklas

Never done, it but I would be pretty curious. Basically you add pressure on the leaves so it might release more flavour at one time, but reduce the amount of steepings. That's my guess.

Yes, here's a video showing how it can be done.

#2 So maybe it's best for those kind of teas that normally only taste great to steep one time? (like some black teas and most lower quality teas)

Just adding on the guessing

I think you're right. Broken leaves probably release flavour better when pressed.
