How people drink tea around the world (video)

Do you brew and drink your Tea like any of the ways in this video, or do you have your own method?

It’s fascinating that not only are there myriad ways to brew and drink Tea, but there also are thousands of Tea blends. Not all of them are “real tea” according to those who only think Tea made from Tea leaves are Tea. 🙂

My favorite “tea” is a blend of Rooibos and Chai.

I had the privelege to travel to Samarkand with my bonusfamily, way back(1988)
And there we learned a Tea tradition, that I still implement today when I have guests.
If you were invited to Tea , you shouldn´t be offended if they only poured the cup half full, because that meant that you really was welcome and to stay. But if they poured the cup full it was like "drink up and get out"
During that trip I bought this beautiful tea-set.
And now after little more than 30 years and several moves it´s still complete.

#1: Interesting. I wonder why the half-full cup is interpreted as more welcoming than the full cup.

What they told us, was that if you get a half-full cup it took much longer time to empty the big teapot(samovar) hence you were welcome to stay until it was empty
